GROUP SHORT FILM PROJECT:
In this project you will work in groups of 3-5 and create a short film (5 Minute Minimum) to show the cumulative knowledge that you've gained of Filmmaking and Adobe Premiere. You must create and submit a Brainstorming/Scriptwriting Google Doc and get your film's topic approved by Mr. Goble prior to your group filming any footage. Due to the extensive and group nature of the project, each day the video is late your individual grade will drop by 10 points. Films that fall under the 5 minute time period will be assessed accordingly. (Example: Every 5 seconds = 1 point deduction) *You will NOT be graded on the quality of your acting, but rather the quality of your finished project.

Genre Change Movie Trailer Project:
|
You will need to find a movie to create a movie trailer for, however, you will need to make the trailer fit in with a different genre than the original (Ex. Family ---->Horror OR Thriller ------> Comedy). You will need to create a trailer that is at least 1 minute long, that includes at least 3 portions with text, voice overs/dialogue, and background music and sound effects/loops. Be creative, use the effects and transitions available to you in Premiere Pro. You will turn in an exported copy of your video. Use the Export Video from Premiere to help you. What Not To Do Video Project:
TOPIC: What NOT to do at Leesville
Videos are a great way to teach someone how to do something, be it simple or complex. You and your group need to come up with 3 topics that you can create a video around on things that should not happen at Leesville. Make sure you know who your audience is going to be (AKA: Your fellow peers) and create your video accordingly. Let's start by watching the 2 example videos from Wakefield. If you need to watch these videos again, they're posted here---> http://whsdigitalmedia.weebly.com/video-projects1.html You will be working in groups of 5-6 for this project and there will be 4 groups total. As a team, decide on a subject matter that appeals to all of your members. YOU MUST HAVE YOUR TOPIC APPROVED BY MR. GOBLE BEFORE YOU START. Do your research (if needed) about your topic to come up with a 60-second video that will accurately match your topic. Make sure you are back on time from your designated filming period, failure to do so will cause your group to lose all filming rights during classtime. You will first create a storyboard and a script detailing the order of your shots and text. You must turn this in first in order to check out a camera. Don't forget that your video should have proper shot composition and camera techniques! For each portion, you will need text describing the video to the audience and you will need an intro part of your video with text. When you are finished with the What NOT to do Video Project, review the rubric to make sure you are meeting all of the requirements. Save the project with all of the last names from your group + whatNOTtodo. Export the media to a QuickTime format (ex: goblefergusonphillipswhatNOTtodo.mov). Submit the exported video to me via the DropItToMe link on the front of the website. Be sure to fill out the Peer Evaluation Survey! |
